Peter has written about drinks in one guise or another since 2005, serving as the wine columnist and drinks blogger for Scottish Field magazine since 2014 and contributing to publications including Decanter, Club Oenologique and Whisky Quarterly.
As well as his drinks writing, Peter also pens articles for magazines including The Lancet’s specialist medical journals, and for newspapers such as The Times and The Press & Journal.
Peter carries out copywriting work – including press releases, advertising features, reports, website text and ghost-written opinion pieces and articles – for public relations agencies and his own clients.
Peter’s debut novel, an historical thriller called Hare, was published by Knox Robinson in 2014, with Peter traveling the length and breadth of Scotland to promote the book at literary festivals.
