JOURNALISM
Peter has been a freelance journalist since 2014 and was named as the nations and regions journalist of the year at the 2023 Wincott Awards, and as the business writer of the year at the 2023 Highlands & Islands Media Awards.
His articles have been published by a wide array of titles, stretching from The Lancet’s specialist medical journals through to magazines such as Decanter and Scottish Field, and newspapers including The Press & Journal and The Times.
Before going freelance, Peter spent nine years as a journalist with The Scotsman newspaper, having trained at the Scottish Centre for Journalism Studies, which was run jointly by Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of Strathclyde.
